Chamera Stage - II Power Station (300 MW)


 

Chamera-II Power Station is located in the Chamba District across Ravi River. The Power House is located near Jarangla, 6 km upstream of Stage-I. This Power Station has 39 m high dam on Ravi River, a 7.86 km long headrace tunnel, an underground power hose with 3 generating units of 100 MW each and a tailrace tunnel 3.6 km long. It has been designed to generate 1500 MU energy in a 90% dependable year. Power generated is being fed in to the Northern Grid. Beneficiary are the states of Uttranchal, U.P., Delhi, H.P., Haryana, J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan and Union Territory of Chandigarh.
